The venue is ideal for guest groups of up to 23 guests. We welcome organizations, corporations, associations who gather for retreats, conferences, off-site meetings, team development and more! Additional meeting space can be provided to accommodate larger groups. |
ThorpeWood is a 155-acre mountain retreat located in the Catoctin Mountains near Thurmont, MD. The land is divided by a rocky and pristine trout stream and adjacent to more than 20,000 acres of dramatic public parks and preserves, ThorpeWood is secluded and feels remote. However, it is only 55 miles from Baltimore or Washington, D.C. and one hour from Harrisburg, PA.

Students : Horizons at Valley Pike welcomes your student group whether school, college, club, scout, youth group or other organizations. Dorm-style lodging with a common lounge area and a separate main lodge for dining and group meeting space, make for an ideal venue. Special Events : Our facilities and amenities combine as an ideal venue for any special event from group picnics and family reunions through athletic team retreats and holiday parties. |
Camp Horizons accommodates up to 250 guests. Ideally situated less than 2 hours from Washington DC, the Camp is perfect for church and youth retreats with an atmosphere that builds cohesiveness. We also serve business, association and management teams in addition to adventure outings for middle school, high school or university students. |
