POWER OF THE PEN - A Writing Retreat
Friday, July 20, 2007 To: Sunday, July
22, 2007
For the writer, one way to sound the depths of one's inner self is by integrating silence and writing. This weekend we will combine spiritual practices such as reflection and meditation with writing practice to experiment with the ways that deep inner stillness and 'soul consciousness' can elevate the clarity and truth of our writing, bringing us deep understanding of the self and closeness to God's wisdom.
This weekend is for those with a seeking for the 'spiritual' within . However, you do not need to be a seasoned writer – just someone who likes to write and has the hunch that this personal practice will yield rich personal insights. Please be prepared for a pre retreat writing exercise once you have registered.
Please visit the Peace Village website for additional information about this and other retreats and to register for this weekend retreat! |

RETREAT FACILITATOR: Judy Rodgers began her career by teaching writing -- first at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, and later at North Central Michigan College. Subsequently she has spent over 30 years writing.
The focus of her work has been at the intersection of media, business, and learning, and writing has always been a foundation of that work. Since 1996, when she first studied with the Brahma Kumaris, she has found writing to be an important way to deepen her understanding of the inner spiritual being and to enrich her relationship with God. In this workshop, she is looking forward to exploring with others the role of writing in creating and sustaining a deep spiritual life. |
